KARACHI: Dr Ruth Pfau served people without discriminating any caste, culture and creed, said Jamaat-e-Islami leader Asadullah Bhutto at a condolence reference held to pay tribute to Dr Ruth Pfau at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday.
The reference was organised by the JI’s minority wing to highlight services of Dr Ruth Pfau.
While paying glowing tribute to Dr Pfau, Bhutto said, “She has served human beings without any greed and has set an example for all of us.” The relentless efforts and services rendered by Dr Pfau for the ailing humanity would be remembered in the pages of history, Bhutto added.
“It was her dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to serve humanity that compelled her to move from Germany to a third-world country.”
The JI leader said Dr Pfau has served humanity throughout her life and she will remain alive in the hearts and minds of the Pakistani nation forever. He stressed for following Dr Pfau’s footprints to serve the humanity saying she proved herself an honest servant of Prophet Jesus (PBUH). Bhutto demanded of the government to issue a post stamp and coin to honour Dr Pfau.
Earlier, religious leaders from Christian, Sikh, Hindu and other faiths also paid rich tribute to Dr Pfau.
